Short answer
How Ya Sé Cuánto works, in short: each Santa Ana practice confirms in writing its cash price, what it includes and the date. We publish it in full, never as a "from" price. You compare and request an appointment. Using the site costs you nothing, and no practice pays us per patient or per appointment. We do not publish practices or prices yet: we will start once we are registered with the Dental Board of California.
Four steps, always in writing
The practice confirms its price.
A dentist at the practice approves the cash price and what it includes, with their name, their California license number and the date.
We publish the full price.
The total, what it includes and the date it was confirmed. One number, never "from" or "starting at".
You request an appointment.
We ask for the minimum the practice needs to call you: your name, a phone number or email, your ZIP code and the service.
Anything extra, in writing first.
If the dentist recommends another treatment, the practice gives you the price in writing before starting.

What "confirmed" means
A price appears here only if the practice approved it in writing. Behind each one we keep four things:
- Who
- The name of the dentist who approved it and their California license number.
- When
- The date of the approval. We show it next to the price.
- What it includes
- What the price covers, in the practice’s own words.
- How much
- One number: the total cash price, in dollars.
Rules we keep for prices
- If a price is more than 180 days old, we take it down until the practice confirms it again.
- To show the lowest, middle and highest price for a service, we wait until we have at least 3 confirmed prices.
- We start with the new-patient cleaning, with exam and X-rays. We will add other services only when practices confirm their prices.
Who pays us
You pay nothing to use the site.
No practice pays us today. When they start, it will be a flat monthly fee, the same no matter how many patients reach them.
We never charge per patient, per appointment or a share of what you pay. So we gain nothing by sending you to one practice instead of another.
If more than half of the appointment requests we pass on go to one practice, we say so on the site.
What we ask you for
Only what the practice needs to reach you. We never ask about your immigration status, your Social Security number or your medical history.
